450-470mhz Yagi Antenna...Is this what I need?
2016年6月22日 · Currently on my outdoor antenna mounted 30 feet in the air, Twin City Ambulance comes in okay but Mercy Flight and the MERS frequencies barely come in at all. I also plan on flipping the Yagi antenna around sometimes so that I can get the sheriff which is located east of my location which operate on a 460 freq.

I can pick it up with a vertical antenna at 30 feet, or a fourteen foot long 21 element Yagi at 25 feet. In this case there's no advantage to changing the elevation of the Yagi. Heck, there's no advantage to even using the Yagi.

Without knowing all the details, locations, topography, buildings, and all the hundreds of other variables, no one would be able to tell you if it's going to 100% fix the issue or not. You might want to try building a Yagi antenna, they are not hard.

This Yagi works extremely well once it is aimed properly. Using inline attenuation seems to help quite a bit as well.
