I also plan on flipping the Yagi antenna around sometimes so that I can get the sheriff which is located east of my location which operate on a 460 freq.

2017年6月30日 · I will be testing the antenna and listening to the new system on a BCD436HP until it is fully operational and the current EDACS system is turned off. Then the system will be monitored on a BCD536HP that I use for streaming. I plan on mounting the yagi antenna in the attic of my 1 story home, about 3.4 miles away from the simulcast site.

2023年8月28日 · For example, there's a UHF repeater I use. It's on top of a 250 foot building. But it's 30 miles away. I can pick it up with a vertical antenna at 30 feet, or a fourteen foot long 21 element Yagi at 25 feet. In this case there's no advantage to changing the elevation of the Yagi. Heck, there's no advantage to even using the Yagi.

2024年9月30日 · A Yagi would focus your energy towards the repeater, and improve reception. Without knowing all the details, locations, topography, buildings, and all the hundreds of other variables, no one would be able to tell you if it's going to 100% fix the issue or not. You might want to try building a Yagi antenna, they are not hard.

2017年1月14日 · I also use the 824-960, 13dBi, Terrawave Yagi Base Antenna | Scanner Master Being in the middle of several towers I found it impossible to receive P25 simulcast with any reliability. This Yagi works extremely well once it is aimed properly. Using inline attenuation seems to help quite a bit as well.

2024年11月25日 · Interesting, back 10 years ago when the Uniden 436 and 536 were introduced and were used on Phase 2 simulcast trying to isolate one tower using a Yagi was one of the gimmicks used along with, paper clips, drilling holes in empty paint cans and sticking the antenna in the hole, ATT and a few others.

2020年9月27日 · Thanks. For the reply,after I read your post I agree that would probably be the only way to scan airport frequencies and still monitor the digital trucking channels. Here in Ohio the simulcast distortion here is pretty bad. I can live with it for now if I can get a Yagi antenna that would help out. I can’t afford one of those SD 100 or 200 ...
