I don’t think you would be able to get the Navigation to work on the free version because it doesn’t look like it supports any Data. Another thing to keep in mind is as of right now it looks like it uses the sprint network for coverage. So coverage in your area could really vary.

This will be enough for you to use the TextNow app for your calling and texting needs. The included free data is 2G only so it’s only good for using the TextNow app. If you want high speed data for use on the internet and with other apps, you need to pay for one of TextNow’s data plans.

The ad free lite subscription isn't working, so I'm still getting intrusive large ads. The call history for iPhone users is shorter than with other apps - just a 30 day call history.

Often times I wouldn't buy a SIM and just use hotel wifi as the time zones would match up with home, and emergency calling is always free. *Internet based - You have a profile online and can log on to send/ read texts, was great to send long messages to friends, and for times when I couldn't find my phone.

That SIM card provides cellular data to power the TextNow app, which provides a VoIP phone number for calls, texts, and MMS. My understanding is that the data is restricted to the TextNow app at a higher level, not just at the phone level.

When this happens the TextNow app immediately defaults to the 'report call Quality' screen when I try to place a call. I've repeatedly reported calls that could not be completed.
