2021年10月13日 · Because these types of reviews don't give an accurate profile of how the professor conducts his/her classes. It's partially emotional. The only way to know how good or bad the professor performs stems back on how clear their expectations are for the class, as well as how open they are to see you succeed. I know this because I've been there.

2022年11月15日 · Read professors you've already had to get a feel for the difference between the "this is a hard professor," vs "I'm a whiney bitch, didn't turn in any work, and failed the class," vs "this professor shouldn't be allowed to teach" bad reviews.

The professor caught them, gave a zero, and allowed them to redo the essay. The student admits they used AI to help write the essay. The entire comment section is filled with students advising them on how to escape consequences, escalate to the dean, file an appeal, etc. etc. because "they can't 100% prove you used AI."

Most people who have a positive experience wont report positive experiences. People with a negative experience go out of their way a lot of the time to complain. If a professor has a bunch of bad reviews it absolutely should be merited. In your case, for all we know the professor saw their feedback from rate my professor and changed methods.

2023年1月29日 · If the professor is a hard ass who’s strict and gives HW and the people were mad about that I’ll take them. It might be a student who didn’t do the work and wasn’t given any slack. If the students talk of racism, sexism, favoritism, arrogance, disorganization… etc anything that falls in those categories I stay far far away.
