2022年3月21日 · You really get very little filler from 1-175 of shippuden. That’s why it’s widely perceived as the best arc in the anime. But after reviewing it again, Zabuza and Kakashi’s arc (latter obv not discussed here), I’d say are much better. One more thing I’ll add. Zabuza went through Kirigakure's academy, graduated at a young age, killed his entire graduating class. The system was forced to change after that. Zabuza would go on to join Kiri's elite shinobi outfit in the Seven Swordsman. At some point Zabuza would attempt a coup against the Mizukage, and then would be forced to flee the village.

Where Zabuza was a cynic, Naruto was an optimist. And in the end Zabuza, a man who’s ideological base was shattered, made a decision. The man who moments prior would’ve cut through Haku’s body of it meant completing his task, asked his enemy for his kunai and charged headstrong into the horde of mercenaries, in a final act to redeem his soul.
