My boat accounted for 254 shad, and wading accounted for 177 for a grand total of 431. I waded 8 times, and boated 8 times for an average trip of 26.9 shad combined, but boat average was 31.75, and wade average was 22.125.

The object and purpose of this association shall be that of protecting the Delaware River shad, the Delaware River, and its tributaries. The Association shall also endeavor to enhance the annual runs of the American Shad and other migratory fish species.

Effective in 2023, the creel limit for American Shad on the Delaware River has been reduced to two fish in order to comply with the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) Fishery Management Plan for American Shad and River Herring.

2021年4月5日 · Every year American shad migrate up the Delaware River to spawn. The numbers and timing of the "shad run" vary year to year depending on water temperature and conditions. Having accurate, up-to-date information on the run can greatly impact on angling success and enjoyment. Fortunately, there are resources anglers can use to get this information.

For the season: We caught 864 total shad, compared to 1,262 in 2017. The total breaks out to 88 bucks, 247 roe and 529 returned. This compares to 208, 319 and 735 respectively in 2017. We made 39 hauls in 32 days this year compared to 43 hauls in 34 days last year.
