The British Dental Association says someone dies from mouth or oral cancer every five hours in the UK. Over 90 per cent of victims of oral cancer use tobacco either by smoking or chewing it.

UB dental school professor Ellyce Clonan's research was published in the Journal of the American Dental Association.
