He was known for his pen-and-ink drawings that often depicted the beautiful and independent American woman at the turn of the 20th century. Gibson studied at the Art Students League in New York City.

Russian-American artist Olga Nenazhivina will have her works displayed in March at the Ocean City Arts Center.
