Horizon Organic is recalling 19,688 cases of Aseptic Plain Whole Milk due to spoilage concerns, according to the FDA.
Nippon Paper Industries Co. developed straw-free milk containers in 2020. The company in 2019 considered using paper-derived straws for the cartons, but that plan proved too expensive.
The impacted cartons have best-by dates between March 3 and March 7. They were sold in single or 12 packs. The FDA said the milk can spoil earlier than those sell-by dates.
