President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order to suspend security clearances for Perkins Coie lawyers, as he continues to retaliate against law firms connected to his political opponents.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump said Thursday he was suspending the security clearances of attorneys at a prominent law firm involved in launching since-discredited opposition research during the 2016 presidential campaign into any ties between the Republican candidate and Russia.

President Donald Trump's executive orders terminating security clearances and taking other actions against two prominent law firms may violate constitutional protections and represent exceptional acts of retribution against lawyers who have crossed him in the past,

Trump has suspended security clearances at Perkins Coie, which represented Democrat Hillary Clinton, and Covington & Burling, which helped Jack Smith.
