Eli Lilly, the maker of blockbuster weight loss and diabetes drugs Zepbound and Mounjaro, said it will invest an additional $27 billion to build four new manufacturing plants in the United States, shoring up domestic manufacturing as President Donald Trump threatens new tariffs on pharmaceuticals.

Eli Lilly released higher doses of its weight loss drug Zepbound in single-dose vials at as much as half its usual monthly list price to reach more patients without insurance coverage for the blockbuster injection,

Eli Lilly & Co. said Tuesday it’s cutting the price of single-dose vials of its Zepbound treatment for diabetes and obesity for patients who have to pay for the drug themselves. It said it will also be adding two new doses,
