Apple’s new M4 chip, which has already appeared in the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro, will arrive in the MacBook Air in March. The launch is expected to include 13-inch and 15-inch models.

Apple's next MacBook Air with M4 could be nearly as powerful as the latest MacBook Pro, and perhaps you won't have to pay more for extra RAM.

Macworld The M4 MacBook Air is set to be released within the next few weeks, and as usual, early benchmark results are starting to appear online. The GPU results that have popped up unsurprisingly show that the new laptop offers GPU performance similar to that of the M4 iPad Pro.

A recent Geekbench benchmark suggests that the M4 MacBook Air will see some performance improvements but remains slightly slower than the M4 MacBook Pro.

While the body of the Mac Studio will remain the same, it’s almost certain that Apple will upgrade the ports. Instead of the Thunderbolt 4 ports of the current model, the new Mac Studio should feature Thunderbolt 5 ports. That’s the same upgrade Apple did to the M4 Pro-equipped Mac mini and MacBook Pro models last year.

Macworld Following the non-event launch of the iPhone 16e last week, next up on Apple’s hardware release schedule is the MacBook Air. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple is “gearing up” for a March release of the M4 MacBook Air.
