Community members and construction workers gathered Tuesday to celebrate a milestone in their mission to grow athletic opportunities for budding Mesa County athletes.

Abby Horner had 23 points to lead the way for the Cavaliers, but it wasn't enough to overcome a balanced outing from the fourth-ranked Kernels on Tuesday night at Jefferson High School.
