Many shoppers in Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro and North Macedonia on Friday joined a trend that first started in Croatia – boycotting stores in protest against eye-watering price rises.

BIRN reported back in 2017 that Croatia and Montenegro were set to resolve their dispute over ownership of a former Yugoslav military training ship. Eight years on, a deal has yet to be reached.
