Four-and-a-half years after making its debut, the Chromecast with Google TV is no longer being sold by Google – joining products like Google Daydream and the Nexus Q (remember that?) in the hardware section of the Google graveyard.

The Google TV Streamer is Google's most expensive streaming stick at $100, costing twice as much as the 4K Chromecast. But it is worth the price for its powerful internals, which include a MediaTek chipset and 4GB RAM, along with Thread networking support. This should ensure the Streamer ages much better than the 4K and HD Chromecasts.

Google is discontinuing sales of the Chromecast with Google TV, including both the 4K and HD models, after nearly five years on the market.

While you might be able to pick up the last few from third-party retailers, the Google Store no longer sells Chromecast with Google TV streaming dongles.
