Undelete and scanning for old files is just very unreliable with an SSD, moreso than with a mechanical drive. On an SSD (which admittedly may not be used by OP), "deleted" blocks don't get reused ...

Here are my thoughts on Disk Drill after using it for years to undelete files on my computers. Download Disk Drill I can think of only a couple of things I dislike about this program. Easy to use.
