The college basketball season has wound down toward the end, with some conference tournaments already starting. The major conferences still have a week left in the regular season and that means rivalry games — and some big ones.

The Gophers compiled an 8-3 record in the nonconference before starting 0-6 in Big Ten play. They now sit 15-14 overall with a 7-11 conference record with only two regular season games remaining. The next month could be one of the most important and busy stretches for the program in recent memory.

The 2024-25 girls basketball regular season has come to a close, ushering in March Madness. Saginaw-area girls basketball teams head into the district tournaments starting Monday, as they eye a spot in the state finals Saturday, March 22, at Michigan State University’s Breslin Center.
