On the opening day of the Big East Tournament, Providence was done by dinner time. The eighth-seeded Friars never led and fell behind by 14 in the second half of a 75-69 loss to No. 9 seed Butler late Wednesday afternoon at Madison Square Garden.

P College did not have the season it was hoping for on the basketball court and saw it come to an end with a loss in the Big East conference

Providence had shown us who they were over the previous six weeks. The Friars came to Madison Square Garden in a tailspin and exited in quick fashion. Wednesday’s defeat against Butler brought a merciful end to this 2024-25 season.
