Northwestern Wildcats women’s basketball was issued a two-game forfeit after they failed to show up for two games in January. The Wildcats were scheduled to play against the UCLA Bruins on Jan. 12 and the USC Trojans on Jan.

Northwestern’s women’s basketball team will be issued two forfeits, which will count as losses, for scheduled games against UCLA and USC that were initially postponed in January due to the deadly wildfires in the greater Los Angeles area.

The Wildcats were issued two losses in the conference standings for games after not traveling for games at UCLA and USC in mid-January.
