Buc-ee's has withdrawn its bid for an annexation request to open a second location in Colorado. The proposed spot for the 74,000-square foot location is off I-25 and County Line in El Paso County. The developer for the mega convenience store has withdrawn the annexation request for the Town of Palmer Lake,

The proposal to locate one of Buc-ee’s mega convenience stores and gas stations near the El Paso County community has spawned opposition from area residents.

The annexation application for a proposed Buc-ee’s in Palmer Lake was withdrawn earlier this month. But as those plans potentially come to a close, another southern Colorado community said it is open to the idea of being home to the state’s second Buc-ee’s.
