A Vermont police officer was allegedly watching "several" YouTube videos, including one about right-wing political commentator Matt Walsh, before he fatally struck a cyclist.
According to court records, Sgt. Kyle Kapitanski’s bodycam footage shows that a Matt Walsh video was playing on Kapitanski's tablet during the crash that killed 38-year-old cyclist Sean Hayes.
Vermont last year. The incident happened in November 2024, when investigators say Kyle Kapitanski was driving over the speed limit with a YouTube video playing moments before the crash.
