PARIS (Reuters) - Bernard Arnault, 76, could remain at the helm of the world's largest luxury group LVMH until he's 85 if shareholders back a company proposal at its annual shareholder meeting on April 17.

The French luxury conglomerate proposed changing its bylaws, to raise the age limit of its chairman and CEO to 85.

The legendary 94-year-old investor Warren Buffett wrote to Arnault after LVMH raised its retirement age to 80 in 2022, saying the age limit was much too conservative.

LVMH had stated in a filing that it will be seeking to raise the age limit for the CEO and Chairman to 85 from the current 80.
