Another round of winter storms is set to move into the area this weekend. The National Weather Service’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies on Friday. Highs will top out in the mid 20s with light breezes calming later tonight as lows dip to around 20.

Snow will fall from Minnesota to Maine, with heavy amounts probably falling from Wisconsin to Massachusetts. Freezing rain and sleet will also be a big issue, especially south of Interstate 80 from Ohio through New Jersey.

Just as one winter storm that brought snow and ice exits the Northeast, a new winter storm is expected to slam similar areas over the weekend.
