The red-fronted macaws — a rare and endangered species of parrots native to Bolivia — recently arrived at the facility and were paired off in hopes that they breed, per the release.

The two red-fronted macaws have been moved to Leicestershire as part of a plan to save the species. The 32-year-old chimpanzee is being moved to allow a breeding programme to get under way.
