The two chicks of popular bald eagle couple Jackie and Shadow have finally been named, according to the nonprofit Friends of Big Bear Valley.

"Often, the absence of a parent doesn't mean the baby has been abandoned," the San Diego Humane Society shared Kelli Bender is the Pets Editor at PEOPLE. She has been working at PEOPLE since 2013.
