Carl Lundström, the Swedish businessman and early financial backer of The Pirate Bay, tragically lost his life in a plane crash while piloting his Piper Mooney Ovation M20R. Lundström, 64, was flying from Zagreb, Croatia, to Zurich, Switzerland, when his aircraft crashed into a wooden cabin in the Velika Planina mountains of northern Slovenia.

Carl Lundström, one of the founders of file-sharing giant the Pirate Bay, has died in a plane crash at the age of 64. He died earlier this week (March 10) when the plane he was piloting crashed in Velika Planina, Slovenia, while flying from the Croatian capital Zagreb to Switzerland's St. Gallen–Altenrhein Airport. He was the only one on board.
