Police are appealing for witnesses after damage was caused at Burns Mausoleum in Dumfries on Tuesday afternoon.

Scotland's national poet is buried in a mausoleum in the graveyard of St Michael's Church on St Michael's Street.

One time, someone drove right into the graveyard, probably on a quad bike, and churned up the ground round Greek Thomson’s grave. It can be depressing, this kind of thing: the lack of respect.
