Crews found there had been an explosion at the one-story home, which was on fire, with black smoke pouring out of the home, said Garden City Fire Chief Randy Keen. Keen said a neighbor reported to authorities that one person lived at the home. Firefighters conducted a search and concluded no one was home during the explosion.

Crews responded to a home on Thursday in Garden City, Michigan, after a report of a home explosion. The explosion happened in the 6500 block of Silvio Street. The Garden City Fire Department says no one was in the home at the time and no injuries were reported.

The Colorado Springs Police Department says 48-year-old Adam Gilmour has been charged with fourth-degree arson related to a fire near Garden of the Gods.

He was booked into the El Paso County Justice Center on other unrelated felony and misdemeanor warrants along with the new felony arson charge and misdemeanor possession of narcotics.
