Feijoa can be eaten raw in fruit salads or as part of a fruit plate. They can also be cooked with other fruit such as apples.
If you’ve got time to get moreorganised, peel and cut them into chunks, then freeze in 1 cup amounts to use in this recipe.
Top tip, when there is an abundance of feijoas I like to freeze some, this makes the feijoa smoothie season last longer and you don’t have to use ice.
Native to South America, the humble feijoa has made its way from Brazil and Argentina to the French Riviera, California, Australia and New Zealand, where they're almost "a national identity fruit".
