Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs signed a bill limiting student cell phone use during school hours, with exceptions for emergencies, educational purposes, and medical needs. The law aims to address concerns about student distraction and addiction to devices.

If approved, the new policy would require devices to be out of sight, silenced or in airplane mode, during the entire school day and during instruction-related after school activities.
