It’s a devastating day for the Catholic community at large, especially for those in Lexington who had the opportunity to meet or interact with Pope Francis.

Pope Francis – the bishop of Rome and visible head of the worldwide Catholic Church since 2013 – recorded and released an audio message on Thursday thanking those who prayed for his recovery.
