EU diplomats have adopted a new round of sanctions against Moscow's "shadow fleet." At the same time, Russian drone strikes left much of the Ukrainian Black Sea port of Odesa without power, water, or heat.

European Union envoys have approved new sanctions against Russia, with the measures set to enter into force next week on the third anniversary of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine

Ambassadors of EU member states gave the green light on Wednesday morning to the 16th package of EU sanctions on Russia. It will encompass additional sectors of the Russian economy, as well as the so-called shadow fleet that transports oil from Russia.
