Canada is ready to talk with the U.S. about the two countries’ economic and security ties but not until the Trump administration ceases referring to its northern neighbor as the 51st state, Prime Minister Mark Carney said.

President Trump, in an early February call, challenged the border treaty between the two countries and told Justin Trudeau he didn’t like their shared water agreements.
