A procession with law enforcement officers is planned for the funeral of a Pennsylvania police officer who was shot and killed while responding to an attack on a hospital intensive care unit.

A gunman and a responding officer were killed after shots were fired Saturday at a hospital in central Pennsylvania.

A gunman, armed with a handgun and carrying zip ties, went inside UPMC's ICU, and took staffers hostage before he was ultimately killed by police in a shootout, the York County DA said.
