County officials announced that aerospace component manufacturer SPS Technologies would lay off about 250 employees, nearly half the workforce, after a fire struck its factory in Pennsylvania in February. SPS's parent company, Precision Castparts, owned by Berkshire Hathaway, made the decision.

One SPS Technologies employee, who wants to remain anonymous, said he received a "notice of termination of employment" via email.

After the devastating fire that burned through the SPS building in Montgomery County, the company is reportedly going to be laying off 250 employees and the county says they want to do everything in their power to stop that from happening.
