A former pastor of a Texas megachurch has been indicted in Oklahoma on child sexual abuse charges from an incident that happened in the 1980s.

Robert Preston Morris, founder of Gateway Church and former Trump spiritual advisor, faces five felony counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child.

According to the announcement, Morris was a traveling evangelist visiting in Hominy with the family of the alleged victim, who was 12 at the time, in December of 1982. The indictment alleges that Morris’s sexual misconduct began that Christmas and continued over the next four years.
