昆明市，简称昆，别称“春城”，是中华人民共和国云南省省会，面向南亚东南亚的区域性中心城市，国家历史文化名城，国际性综合交通枢纽城市，也是云南的政治、经济、文化、科技中心和交通枢纽。昆明素以“春城”著称，因其夏无酷暑、冬无严寒、气候宜人，具有典型的温带气候特点。昆明是国家历史文化名城，拥有世界自然遗产云南石林，国家级风景名胜区滇池，轿子山国家级自然保护区，西山国家森林公园，以及众多的全国重点文物保护单位。面积21,013平方公里，2020年总人口846.01万，市人民政府驻呈贡区。
