Unfortunately yes...not as pesky as in June and July, but you’ll need repellent mostly late afternoon to dusk in town. Near all minshuku, pubs and restaurants will be having traps or burning repellent coils but outside you’re on your own. Mosquitoes are of thearge but silent type: you get bitten without hearing that zzz so typical for many European species.
