I was there on a weekday and only saw a few people. Good Friday is probably a holiday BUT also a holy day?? It might be busy or not. I think weekend have parties and visitors.

Hey there. I think most anytime you go will be safe. That’s not so much the issue. The later in the day you are there the more crowded (and if on Saturday or Sunday the more rowdy) it will be. We were there Sunday morning and it was very calm. Make sure your taxi or Uber driver sticks with the embarcadero you tell them. Locals on bikes will try and get them to go to a different one. We recommend Embarcadero Nuevo Navititas. Enjoy!
