We didn't use it, because we were on the way to Grand Canyon, and just wanted to see this park on the way. We spent a few hours there, then kept going. That much time is enough, since it is not a very big area. Have fun, enjoy it.

There's a scenic drive that takes ~45 minutes if memory serves. The visitor center was really helpful when we went with picking a trail of appropriate difficulty and length, so I'd check there.
