We love to swim and had planned on a day on New Smyrna beach..however the mention of sharks close to shore has put me right off.Is this usual in all the NE Florida beaches?
Is there a nice snorkeling place. What about a boat tour out to a nice spot for shelling and swimming.

We have found that the Lauderdale By The Sea area and even down at Miami Beach is pretty good for snorkling. You can even do scuba lessons right on the beach at Lauderdale.
I will be coming to new smyrna beach and would like to drive and park on the beach However I am bringing someone who needs a rest room hourly ASre restrooms nearby and plentiful Thanks Maureen
