The Waterford Suir Valley Railway opend on 3rd June for the season. Protocols in place to mitigate for Covid 19 risks. You can now book a private compartment for your family to enjoy the magic of rail on a 40 minute train journey on a narrow gauge railway along the banks of the River Suir and beside Waterford Greenway. Get a glimpse in to Mount Congreve Gardens and make a wish in the Magic Wood. Great fun for all ages. The Whistlestop Café at Kilmeadan Station is the ideal stop off for refreshments while walking or cycling on Waterford Greenway. This social enterprise was set up in 2000. The railway is a social enterprise operated by volunteers since 2003.

Yes. There are six toilets at Kilmeadan Station including one disabled access toilet.There are two baby changing areas available. There is no toilet on the train.
