We took the train from Milan to Como, stayed in Como for a few days, then took the train from Como to Lugano. I know you can take a direct train from Milan to Lugano. The train was fast and easy. You can take a ferry from Lake Como to Mennaggio then a bus to Lugano but the train would be a much faster unless you want to see Mennaggio which is also beautiful.
I need to go to Lugano from Arona Italy. Do I need to purchase any day passes to enter with the vehicle as it will be my first time ? I am planning to go to monte san salvatore and Lugano centre ? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
