卡萨布兰卡，是摩洛哥最大的城市，位于大西洋岸边、距离东北方向的首都拉巴特90千米。卡萨布兰卡人口约511万，全市拥有全国70%的现代工业，市区和郊区有1000多座工厂，是摩洛哥的最大城市和主要港口，也是摩洛哥的商业金融中心地。行政上，2015年前属大卡萨布兰卡大区，2015年后属卡萨布兰卡-塞塔特大区。 卡萨布兰卡早在欧洲人来到以前已有人居住。16世纪，葡萄牙人来到，把当地的柏柏尔人村落夷平，开始了当地被欧洲人殖民的历史；1770年，摩洛哥国王下令在安法城旧址兴建一座新城，将其命名为达尔贝达，意为“白色的房子”。18世纪末，西班牙殖民者取得了卡萨布兰卡的贸易特权，将其更名为卡萨布兰卡。在西班牙语中，“卡萨布兰卡”同样意为“白色的房子”。到19世纪末期发展成海上贸易中心。1907年被法国占领，并开始整备港湾设施。第二次世界大战中，卡萨布兰卡被亲德政权管治，后被盟军攻占。1956年，法军撤退。
