You would not actually stay at the Cape for any length of time as there is little there other than a short visit unless walking. Dependent upon when you are there you might find a food truck or two open but that is all. Most people would visit by car or like us by the limited bus service, either take sandwiches or eat in town.
However from this point you'd probably want to take the A22 west then head toward Lagos then head toward Sagres. GPS is very handy but it nice to have a map along as well.
